A few good men. This slogan is one that may
really hit home in the immediate future. As our country enters
into war, let's not forget the critical need for blood in this
country. Whether it is for the battlefield, an operation, a
transfusion, or to be credited to the lodge, it is important to
give.
On April 12th from 8:00 AM until 1:00 pm, Walden
Lodge will hold a blood drive/pancake breakfast at the lodge to
benefit the Eighteenth Masonic District. Everyone who gives blood
will qualify for replacement blood if they or their immediate family
should ever need it, and the entire district can qualify if enough
give. I challenge each and every one of our members, family and
friends to produce one hundred (100) pints of blood. Please call Chick
Davis or me for more information.
The square is intended to teach the Fellow Craft
that the square of morality and virtue should be the rule and guide
of his conduct in his transactions with all mankind, but more
especially, with brother masons. Three newly made Entered Apprentices will
be in waiting on March 27th to be passed to the degree of a Fellow
Craft. The change in date was announced at the regular communication
in March. Please try to attend. The degree will be presided over by
our Senior Warden, Bro. Kirby Burnett.
April is a busy month for the lodge. At our April
communication, I will discuss proposed legislation to be presented
at Grand Lodge, which will be held in Myrtle Beach on April 24th and
25th. It would be a wonderful tribute and salute to our Most
Worshipful Grand Master as he leaves office, after two very successful
years, if Walden Lodge was represented at Grand Lodge by more
members than any other lodge in South Carolina. Please, guys, make
every effort to attend Grand Lodge.
Fraternally,
Lawrence W. Crane
Worshipful Master
