October 2006 Plumbline, Walden Lodge No. 274
Greetings Brothers, This year is fast drawing to a close, as does my time serving you in the East. This has been a wonderful experience and one I thoroughly enjoyed. Traditionally we have our awards presentations during our November meeting. I would like to ask for your help. If there is a member of the lodge who cannot attend this meeting to receive his award, please let us know. We would like to have all those who are eligible to receive their awards present. If you would like to bring your lady to the meeting, please let us know also. I will be glad to have them presented in open lodge, for all your family members to witness and participate. Our business meeting for October 5th would be an excellent time to come and fellowship with your brothers. If you haven’t attended lodge in some time, don’t let that hold you back from reconnecting with your brothers. One of the finest pleasures I have had throughout my time serving the lodge is meeting new (to me) brothers and listening and learning from them. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to pass along your wisdom to the next generation of Walden’s officers. In closing I would like to take a moment and thank Brother Chick Davis who filled in for me during my absence last month and to all the other officers who were asked to step in, some at the last moment. You made my trip that much less stressful, knowing how well cared for the Lodge is during my time away. I look forward to seeing you upon my return, and hope this finds you and your family happy, healthy, and safe. Sincerely, and fraternally, Chris Grantham Worshipful Master “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety” – Benjamin Franklin
