April 2007 Plumbline, Walden Lodge No. 274
As we approach the 4th month of this year, we see that we still have much work to be done. We still have degree work to be performed and candidates to be instructed, practices to insure that the Walden tradition of excellent degree work continues. We still have the need for assistance with our degree work. We would enjoy having some of you “long time members” come back and help with the degree work. You may contact anyone of the officers for assistance in getting to the Lodge. Bro. Bob Kendrick and the committee submitted the financial report for Walden Lodge at our last meeting. While we are not in trouble yet, we must think of ways to raise additional revenues for our Lodge and craft. More on this subject to follow. April will be a busy month for Walden Lodge. Bro. Charles Pridmore will conduct the memorial service for our fallen members. If you have never seen Bro Pridmore conduct a memorial service, you are missing a wonderful tribute to our fallen Brothers. We will have a second degree on April 12th, and a first degree on April 19th. If you are able to provide any assistance in the degrees, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely and fraternally, Chick Davis Worshipful Master
Greetings from the South, After you’ve found all the hidden eggs, and had your fill of chocolate bunnies, I encourage each of you to remember the real reason for Easter. God was able to give up his only Son to forgive our sins. Why is it that we find it so difficult to forgive our Brothers over petty disagreements? Let this be a time of forgiveness and if you have had arguments or disagreements, send a card or make a phone call to begin reconciliation. Our next meeting would be a good place to meet and have a nice fellowship. Tom Mobray, Jr. Warden To err is human, to forgive is divine Alexander Pope 1688-1744
