September 2007 Plumbline, Walden Lodge No. 274

        Tidings from the East

My Brothers:

It’s time to turn the Light of Masonry back to bright.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer and that this note finds you and yours in good health and spirits. I hope everyone is prepared for the challenges yet to come as we heads towards 2008 (only 5 months away!).

We still have candidates to vote on and start the work of bringing more men into our ancient institution. Let us prepare for our degree work.

As has been stated in the past, we would truly enjoy seeing our Brothers that haven’t been to Lodge in awhile. If we can assist you with transportation, please give any of us a call.

Mark your calendar for our annual Inspirational Meeting on Oct 25 @ 6:00PM at the Scottish Rite Center.

If I can be of any service to any of my Brothers, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

         Tidings from the South

Greetings,

I hope that everyone has had an enjoyable summer. It is hard to believe that fall is just around the corner, especially in the midst of a heat wave.

It is the time of year where football fans are just about rabid enough for the season to start, and hunters are cleaning their guns.

I do hope that with the break, no one has fallen out of the habit of being good Masons. Because it is time to crank back up with our meetings. As the end of the year is fast approaching I am asking everyone to consider what they would like to see from our lodge in the coming year. If you have an interest you’d like to know more about or a speaker you’d like to hear, please let me know as I am trying to plan meetings for our centennial year.

Just be sure to catch me at the next meeting, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Junior Warden
