From the East
Greetings from the East,
I was happy to speak to some Brothers I had never met, and to have some in attendance I hadn’t seen in a long while. I do hope that you will continue to attend, and I hope to see more of you at our next meeting. We plan to have a memorial service for those Brothers no longer with us at our March communication.
I would also encourage each of you to go to our website, www.waldenlodge274afm.org, and register for the Centennial Celebration. It is very simple and will only take a few minutes, and will be helpful to us as we are planning the dinner.
On a more serious note, without some changes being made, our lodge will be facing a financial short fall in the very near future. If you have yet to pay your dues for 2008, I encourage you to do so to prevent from going inactive. I would also ask that any of you who are life members that are not required to pay dues to please consider making a contribution each year in place of paying dues.
Your support and attendance is strongly encouraged, because without it, Walden Lodge will not be able to help those that are in need.
I was also asked by several members if they could have a copy of the article I read at the February meeting. I thought that maybe some of the members who weren’t able to be there may also enjoy it.
What is a Feemason?
A Mason is a man and brother whose trust is in God. He will meet you on the level and act upon the Square. Truth is his Compass and he is ever Plumb. He has grip on all that is rite. He is loyal to his order and whatever his degree. He is master of himself. In the lodge of life he wears unstained the white lambskin of innocence. From his initiation as Entered Apprentice he travels ever toward the East in search of light and wisdom until he received the Final, the divine Password that admits him into the ineffable presence of the Eternal Supreme Grand Master of the Universe-GOD.
