June 2008 Plumbline, Walden Lodge No. 274
Greeting from the East, Summer is fast approaching and I hope that everyone is doing well. I would like to remind everyone that if we go dark for the months of July and August, you should never go dark in your Masonic duties and obligations. We voted and passed an increase of dues at the last business meeting. This was an unfortunate necessity, and hope that it will not dissuade any of you from paying your dues at the end of the year. June will be a busy month, and I encourage each of you to attend as many events as possible. Our regular business meeting will be on June 5th. My speaking topic this month will be How Masons Cope with Bad News. I would also like to plan one or two summer outings that can be attended by the entire family. June 14th will be our long awaited centennial celebration. I appreciate all the members that have worked on getting this planned and look forward to a great time. If you have not already RSVP’ed the dinner is sold out. But you are more than welcome to attend the rededication at 7:30. We will have a second degree on June 19th as long as everything goes according to plan. This isn’t Walden Lodge, but the SC/Georgia meeting will be held at the end of June in our building. Fraternally, Tom Mowbray Worshipful Master
