November 2008 Plumbline, Walden Lodge No. 274

        Tidings from the East

I would like to begin by inviting each and every member to come to our next meeting on November 6th. We will be having our awards night, so please come and congratulate the brothers that are receiving pins.

Next, I want to remind everyone of the fact that Nov. 4th is Election Day. As Masons we are called to be leaders at home, work, and communities. As community leaders it is our responsibility to go vote for local and national representatives. So please research the positions that are up for election in your areas and see what each candidate is best for the job.

Lastly, I know that my time as Master is rapidly coming to a close, but I would like to start something new in our Plumbline called the Past Masters Corner. Each month I would like a past master to contribute a short article. It can be of anything interesting to you. I would like to see some Masonic history or education that you found helpful or useful, past memories from when you were a Master, or any other number or ideas or thoughts. I would like for this to begin in earnest with our December issue. I want to have enough contributions to be able to submit to next years Master to fill out the entire year.  You may email me at MowbraysTR@aol.com with plumbline as the title or send through regular mail to 104 Aladdin St, Greenville SC 29609. I know you all have stories and would like to hear them.
